DESCRIPTION:

The Kingdom of Thailand is known as the Land of smiles, fine silk and golden Buddhas. Thailand is situated in the heart of Southeast Asia with Bangkok as the capital city. It shared a border with Cambodia to the East, Laos to the northeast, Myanmar to the West, and Malaysia to the South. Thailand is the gateway of Southeast Asia and draws more visitors than any other countries in its area. Also Thailand is proud of its history as the only country in Southeast Asia which never been colonized by the European power. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty complemented by impressive architecture including striking temples. The country is also well known for its appetizing food and the people renowned for their friendly manner. The official language spoken by almost 100 percents of the population is Thai. Chinese and Malay are also spoken in some areas, while local dialects are common in rural communities. English is widely spoken in Bangkok and other major metropolitan areas. During the program, the international students will be hosted by volunteer host families, who are willing to share their lives, hearts, and home with the foreign high school students. The high school program in Thailand gives students an opportunity to spend their period of time studying at Thai high schools. The students will have an opportunity to visit different parts of country and will learn Thai cooking and traditional foods, Thai boxing, Thai culture and the history of Thailand.

FULL BOARD HOST FAMILY:

All families are assessed in their own home for their suitability to host. References are taken, accommodation inspected. All families receive a welcome pack that contains a host family handbook and detailed program information. We match students and families based on the information they provide.

Families provide:

-  A clean and comfortable place to stay. Students will have their own bed+private storage space.

-  Full Board Accommodation (Continental breakfast and evening meal)

-  Access to laundry facilities

-  Access to communal areas and use of family home
